India’s Harnaaz Sandhu is crowned Miss Universe 2021

The new Miss Universe 2021 is Harnaaz Sandhu from India. The 21-year-old model was named Miss Universe 2021 at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel on December 12, 2021. Harnaaz will bring back the crown of Miss Universe 21 years later. Prior to her, Laradutta was crowned Miss Universe in 2000.

The news of Harnaaz’s victory was posted on the official Instagram account of the Miss Universe organization. They shared the exact moment when the beauty pageant won the coveted title at an event in Israel. “The new Miss Universe is … India” was the title of the clip. The clip shows Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico crowning an emotional Harnaaz, who will become her successor.

“I am immensely grateful to the Almighty, my parents, and the Miss India Organisation for guiding and supporting me throughout. Loads of love to everyone who prayed and wished the crown for me. Bringing the glorious crown back after 21 years to India is a moment of great pride,” Harnaaz said.

Indians beganlooking for different aspects of Sandhu’s personality after the of her victory broke on Monday morning.

Many were searching for her height, past winners, Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta, a lot of search surge also happened on Chandigarh, the place she hails from. Some also looked up for Mr World and motivational speaker Harnaaz Kaur.


Harnaaz Sandhu started her beauty pageant journeyat the age of 17. She was previously named Miss Diva 2021 andFemina Miss India Punjab 2019 and was also ranked in the Top 12 inFemina Miss India 2019.

A 21-year-old model from Chandigarh is also active in Punjab movies such asYaara Diyan Poo Baran and Bai Ji Kuttange.

Sandhu believes Pageant is a platform for women to come together to celebrate sisterhood and femininity, and people around the world are proud to celebrate their beauty aueens and achievements.

When she returns home, all celebrations will be in Punjabi style with Bhangra and Gidda. ” ” My father has 17 siblings, and Harunaz is the only girl in Sandu’s extended family. At theGrand Finale,Harnaazwore a sequin dress designed by transgender female designer Saisha Shinde. It looked great.

As a part of top three round, all participants had to answer the same question. This is what they were asked: “What advice would you give to a young woman looking at how to deal with the pressures she is facing today?

Harnaaz said, “Well, I think the biggest pressure the youth of today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique and that`s what makes you beautiful, stop comparing yourselves with others, and let’s talk about more important things that’s happening worldwide. I think this is what you need to understand. Come out, speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own [life]. I believe in myself and that’s why I’m standing here today. Thank you.”
