Changemaker : It started at age 7..
From when she was a 13 year old, she began seeing children working on construction sites near her house. This incident left a lasting impression on her. She wasn’t quite able to digest the fact that these children will not have a choice in dictating their future. She then decided to do something about this issue, an immediate idea that sparked in her mind was to offer after-school classes to these children in the main subject areas so that they have a basic education. Anshu believes that education can be a solution for some of the world’s most pressing issues. “By educating more children, we are giving them an opportunity to have a fairer future”, Anshu says.
At the age of 7, Anshu had started learning how to code. In the past decade, she has dedicated 2 hours every day to learn several programming languages and has built her first app when she was 12 years old.

Changemaker : Software Coding at age 7
At the age of 7, Anshu had started learning how to code. In the past decade, she has dedicated 2 hours every day to learn several programming languages and has built her first app when she was 12 years old. Naturally, when Anshu was thinking of solutions for universal access to education, she first analyzed the possibilities of coding and technology in this area. She believed that after school classes were just an immediate solution and its scale was quite small. The number of students Anshu could accommodate was just 30 and she wanted to increase the scale of impact. She started coding a small app which the students can use to learn from the comfort of their homes.
She started working on this software at the age of 15, slowly she took help from other students who have completed their degree in computer science. Before she turned 17, the app was running with the help of funding received from a few NGOs. She decided to not sell it for commercial profit, she wanted to make this available to children in the villages so that they could learn all the topics and also improve their digital knowledge. She has taken the effort of holding workshops for parents and children to learn how to use the app.
She aims to spread this app in other villages of India so that all children everywhere have an opportunity to learn. International talent and Anandshree organization have recognized this achievement of hers by awarding her with the Young Tech Changemaker title at the IT Golden Globe Awards. Anshu has shown that with sheer dedication and hard work, we can create an impact on society and achieve a lot in the process.
