Mypencildotcom: How did your journey begin?

Karan: When I was 20 years old, my college teachers and friends suggested me that I try something in the field of acting and even I had interest in this field. So, in 2004 I came to Mumbai and from past 17 to 18 years, I have been working in this field.

Mypencildotcom: How was your experience behind the camera?

Karan: In the initial four years when I was working behind the camera, I got exposure as a cameraperson, designer and many other things. I was interested to learn new things and explore myself. I had work with Bachchan sir, Jimmy Shergill, Yuvraj Singh and many other personalities. Then, I got a chance to work as a Naitik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Mypencildotcom: Who is your favorite co-star?

Karan: There are many co-actors with whom I enjoyed a lot such as my friend Aayush who played the role of Mohit and Medha ji, who played the role of Bhabhi ma. Toral is a very good and professional actor and Mahima is also very great, nowdays she is doing Bollywood movies. There are many with whom I enjoy working.

Mypencildotcom: What kind of characters you’re more interested in?

Karan: I wanted to play the role of a villain. Actually, I want to try different types of roles which I didn’t play usually. In my upcoming projects, I’m playing very different roles and I’m sure audience will love it. As a versatile actor, we should try everything.

Mypencildotcom: Your latest song ‘Ghungroo Toot Gaye’ and ‘Mulakaatein’ has been released recently, so please tell us something about that.

Karan: My character was entirely different in both songs. Ghungroo is a melodious song which is sung by Javed Ali. My look was very different as I played the role of a matured guy who gone abroad and didn’t came back. I remember we did it’s shooting in Surat. On the other hand, Mulakatein was very different and we did it’s shooting in one day.

Mypencildotcom: If you wouldn’t have been an actor, then what would be your second career option?

Karan: If I wouldn’t have been an actor, then I would have been a fashion designer because it is also one of the things which I love doing. I did my course in it and I was the topper of my college.

Mypencildotcom: Is there any upcoming project that you would like to share with us?

Karan: My music videos are going to come and then I’m planning to do something different and big. Also, I’m trying to graduate in films as well.

Mypencildotcom: One message that you would like to share with the audience of mypencildotcom.

Karan: All the best to the entire team, you guys are doing very well. It builds a platform between the actors and their fans. There are almost 30 to 40 fan pages who are working from many years and they support us and motivate us to work and cross all the hurdles. Thank you so much.5
